The Blitz

With the NFL season almost a 1/3 of the way through, quarterbacks have been under pressure left and right.  Though it isn’t just on the gridiron that we get rushed, this year especially.  We are being bombarded by pandemic reports, global news, market updates, and to cap it all off it is an election year.  Unfortunately, seniors are fighting off even more with the amount of television, newspaper and mail advertisements targeting them for a different type of season.

October 15th marks the start of the Annual Election Period (AEP) for “Medicare Season”.  AEP runs from October 15th through December 7th and provides Medicare beneficiaries the ability to make changes to their plan, switch plans or drop coverage all together.  With the season being so short, many of us and/or our family members are under siege in an attempt to persuade them to change plans.  Often so overwhelmed, it can be difficult to decipher the important information from the potentially biased sources.  Critical plan changes or cancellations can slip through the cracks potentially leaving them in a less than ideal situation or without coverage at all!

Fortunately, we live in an area that has an abundance of quality plans available, not to mention a plethora of fantastic hospitals to choose from. So as the blitz comes in fast and furious, make sure to do your homework for you or your family’s sake.  Keep in mind that if the grind becomes too unbearable know that we can help you.  Aaron is our resident Medicare specialist and is up to date on all the plans in the area.
